Getting Started – Spiritual Enrichment Studies

Hello,

I hope that you are enjoying the first week of the Spiritual Enrichment Studies. If you were unable to attend the introduction to this series we have posted the video from the Sunday night meeting on our website, listed under ministries. If anyone is in need of the handouts or the book please let me know and I will make arrangements to get the materials to you.

As you begin this studies I want to encourage you to “wind down” as you settle in. The goal is not to complete the assignments but rather to bring in and even fine tune life disciplines that will enrich our walk with Jesus. Jesus made it clear that those who would settle their hearts, calm their minds, and turn their ears to Him, those people would know His strength and presence at a greater level. We see this in the way He instructed and trained the disciples and in the way He has led His people throughout history. As you go through the assignments I encourage to give time for God to speak to you, be willing to look beyond the outline and learn at a personal level what God is speaking to you at this time. Please make notes as to what He shows you and let me know the things you want to share.

My personal desire through these studies is to get to know each of you at deeper level. I am encouraged when I hear what God is doing in your lives and I am also greatly encouraged to hear how God is directing and leading you in serving Him. So in order for me to “hear” I need you to speak, by way of email, conversation, whatever works for you let me know. I truly do look forward to what you have to share! We have a great responsibility (privilege) to live out what He has placed within us. We are His representatives to a world that is confused, searching and eager for the truth of His love.

Lastly I encourage you to attend the “Heart of the Harvest” conference in Boise, May 3rd & 4th. This is a great opportunity to broaden your perspective, be strengthened in your calling, and be blessing to others. I have attended this conference for several years now and it is always been a time to help me refocus and be refreshed. For additional information about the conference please visit our website or pick up a brochure in the church lobby.

Looking forward to what He has in store for us,

In His grace,

Pastor Dan
