Man to Man Update From Pastor Dan

Hello everyone,

I hope that you had a relaxing and productive weekend. I am loving teaching through the book of Joshua on Sunday’s, Joshua is such a great example of leadership and humility in action. Equally enjoyable for me has been our men’s group meeting time on Tuesday night as we go through the new testament letter of James. James has such practical clear advise and yet challenges us to work through the truths as they apply to our lives. For those of you who have not been able to make it perhaps this Tuesday, 7pm, at the church will work for you. I encourage you to invite other men who could benefit from our time together as we encourage, equip, and enable one another to grow closer to Jesus!

On Sunday afternoon Rich Cowman & I went snowshoeing at Pine and had a wonderful time. We continued on the trail that Tom O. and his family cut a couple of weeks ago, extending that trail by about another ¼ mile or so. (Video of Rich & I is on our website; ccmountainhome.com then go to ministries and then men’s ministry to view the video). When Tom went before us we were able to follow in his steps which gave us good direction and an easier walk. With Rich leading the way we were able to push forward from where Tom left off until our time ran out. The point is working together we enable one another to go further than we could on our own. It is real clear how this applies in spiritual journey as well; Go with one another, invite one another, think about how to encourage one another… Let’s do this!

“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

2Timothy 2:1,2
